I work as a software engineer for Arastra, a start-up in the San Francisco bay area. Before moving to California, I worked at Data Connection in Enfield, north London.
Some of my main interests are computing, music, hillwalking, maths and watching films. Other interests of mine include playing pool, snooker, chess and bridge.
I spent four years studying Maths at Robinson College, one of the colleges of Cambridge University. I followed the undergraduate tripos for three years, followed by the Certificate of Advanced Study in Mathematics, also known as Part III. My main areas of interest are Group Theory and Logic. As part of the Part III course I wrote an essay on Sporadic Simple Groups.
