Just the Name charge £9.99
for a .co.uk, .org.uk or .ltd.uk name,
and £59.99 for a .uk.com, .uk.net or
.eu.com name, for 2 years. For a .com,
.org or .net name, they charge £15.99 for the
first year and £11.99 for subsequent years registered at the same time.
For a .info or .biz name, they charge £27.98
for the first two years and £11.99 for subsequent years registered at
the same time.
For this price you get non-masked web redirection, email forwarding to unlimited accounts and direct access to your DNS entry file. They have a well-designed site, although their search facility is a bit limited.
Their most unusual feature, not available with any other domain registration company that I know of, is proper URL masking. This costs £14.09 per year. Their URL masking does not use frames, as other types of URL masking do, so that visitors cannot tell that your site is not hosted with them. In addition, with the URL masking option you get visitor statistics for your web site.
Freeparking.co.uk is another cheap
domain name registration company. They register .co.uk or
.org.uk names for £9.99 (no VAT payable),
.com, .org or .net names for
£29.98, and .info or .biz names for £19.98,
all for 2 years. They also sell a large range of third-level names
at £64.99 for two years. International domain names are also available
for longer periods (up to 10 years), with savings if you buy for five years or
more.
They provide email forwarding to up to 10 accounts, masked web redirection and access to the DNS record file. I sometimes find that their domain control panel can be a bit temperamental.
Simply.com offer
.co.uk and .org.uk names at £9.99 + VAT,
.org names at £24.99 + VAT and .com or
.net names at 29.99 + VAT for two years. They also have a large
range of third-level and foreign domain names at higher prices.
They provide masked or unmasked web redirection and email forwarding for up to 10 accounts, and will edit the DNS record on request. They have the best designed website I have seen for a domain registration company.
