Walking
I am a keen hillwalker. In 1999–2000 I was the treasurer of the

In 1997 I went on an expedition for six weeks to Greenland, with
BSES Expeditions.
-
During the Easter holiday of 1999 I did Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk.
-
During the summer of 1999 I spent two and a half weeks in Iceland.
-
In the summer of 2001 I spent seven weeks trekking across the Pyrenees,
from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean.
-
In the summer of 2002 I spent a month trekking in the Alps, on the Tour de
Mont Blanc and the GR5.
-
During late summer 2003 I spent a fortnight trekking in Corsica, including
the northern half of the GR20.
-
In October 2004 I trekked for a week in the Făgăraş range of the
southern Carpathians, and climbed the second highest mountain in Romania.
My photos page has photos from some of my trips.
